Silver Tales is registered with The London Assay office, where hallmarking began in 1327.

When choosing a hallmarked item, you are part of a 700 year old tradition. A hallmark is comprised of a number of marks, including the makers mark which is unique to the silversmith who made the item. It also displays the purity of the metal, most commonly showing fine silver or sterling silver.
